I'm a Washington, D.C.-based reporter and producer currently covering the White House and Trump administration for ABC News.
My work unites two of my favorite things: storytelling and politics.
As a journalist, I’ve reported on the shifting political landscape of Appalachia, won an Emmy as a producer for Good Morning America, traveled across the country and around the world reporting on President Trump, and have chased lawmakers up and down the halls of Congress seeking answers to important questions of the day.
Originally from West Virginia, I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in English and Plan II Honors, a highly competitive, multidisciplinary program.
Two years and dozens of life experiences later, I received an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. My masters project focused on efforts to get more women elected to public office and bipartisan collaboration between female members of Congress.
