I'm a Washington, D.C.-based digital journalist, and currently cover stories at the White House and on Capitol Hill for ABC News.

My work unites two of my favorite things: storytelling and politics.

I've reported on the shifting political landscape of Appalachia, produced packages for Good Morning America on President Donald Trump's White House, and have shot video inside a naval ship, climbing up and down ladders, with my camera in hand.

Originally from West Virginia, I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in English and Plan II Honors, a highly competitive, multidisciplinary program.

Two years and dozens of life experiences later, I received an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. My masters project focused on efforts to get more women elected to public office and bipartisan collaboration between women in Congress.
